- 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour

- 1 ½ cups granulated sugar

- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 1 cup whole milk
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar, sifted
- ½ cup butter, softened
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease two round baking pans and line with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla until smooth. Gradually add to dry ingredients while stirring gently.
- Divide batter evenly between prepared pans and bake for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- While cakes cool, beat cream cheese and butter until fluffy. Gradually mix in powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth.
- Once cooled, layer the cake with half of the cream cheese filling between the layers and spread the remaining filling on top.
