- 1 lb flank steak
- 1 cup white rice
- 1 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- Juice of 2 limes
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- ¼ cup olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Marinade the Steak: In a bowl, mix minced garlic, olive oil, lime juice, salt, and pepper. Place flank steak in a resealable bag, pour the marinade over it, seal the bag, and massage gently. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- Cook the Rice: Prepare white rice according to package instructions until fluffy (approximately 15 minutes).
- Sear the Steak: Preheat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat. Remove steak from marinade and discard excess. Sear for about 4-5 minutes per side until desired doneness.
- Slice & Assemble: Let steak rest for 5 minutes before slicing against the grain into thin strips. In bowls, layer rice as a base, top with sliced steak, and sprinkle with chopped cilantro.
- Serve: Add lime wedges if desired and enjoy your flavorful bowl!
