Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease two round cake pans.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt.
- In a large bowl, cream softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mash bananas in another bowl; mix in eggs and vanilla. Combine with the butter mixture.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients until just combined.
- Pour batter into prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool in pans for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
- For frosting: Beat cream cheese and butter until smooth; gradually add powdered sugar until creamy.
- Frost cooled cakes generously between layers and on top.
