- 1 can (20 oz) unsweetened pineapple chunks, drained
- 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Spread the drained pineapple chunks evenly in the bottom of the prepared dish. Sprinkle chopped nuts over the pineapple if using.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the yellow cake mix and ground cinnamon, then pour evenly over the pineapple layer.
- Drizzle melted butter evenly over the dry cake mix.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown on top. Let cool slightly before serving.
