Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8-inch round cake pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and sugar until well combined.
- In another bowl, beat eggs and milk until frothy; mix in honey.
- Gradually combine the wet and dry ingredients until just mixed—do not overmix.
- Gently fold in sliced almonds.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- While baking, prepare honey syrup by mixing equal parts honey and water in a saucepan over low heat.
- Drizzle syrup over warm cake once baked; let soak before serving.
