- 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease two round cake pans and line with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and sugar. Set aside.
- In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in milk until combined.
- Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just incorporated; do not overmix.
- Divide the batter between prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool in pans for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
- Once cooled, slice each cake in half horizontally and layer with strawberry jam, whipped cream, and sliced strawberries.
